How To Fix ‘NFT Does Not Appear’ in Metamask – When you purchase a new NFT, your goal is to ensure that you have complete ownership of it and retain complete control over it at all times, right?

One of the most effective methods for achieving this goal is to save NFTs in MetaMask.

Because MetaMask has established itself as a trustworthy wallet address for cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, it makes sense to put your faith in this mobile software for various uses.

Although it is simple to add NFT to MetaMask, it is known that certain members of the MetaMask community have reported that the collectibles tab does not display their NFTs.

If you are experiencing this issue, there is no need for concern because we have come to your aid.

Adding NFTs to MetaMask

Users can quickly and securely transfer their NFTs from OpenSea to MetaMask by using the NFT smart contract address. This process only takes a few minutes.

These days, people are interested in seeing the NFTs that others own, and users are eager to display their collections.

Because of this, we can observe progress regarding each NFT token and other social platforms, such as the NFT Profile Pictures on Twitter.

Therefore, NFT must appear in the correct place on your wallet when you add it.

In that case, there isn’t any genuine proof of ownership behind your asset, which is essential for NFTs because it’s one of their primary selling features.

The NFTs are displayed under the Collectibles tab on the MetaMask Mobile app.

Suppose users don’t utilize the mobile app version of MetaMask. In that case, they won’t be able to see native support for NFTs in the user interface, even though the MetaMask wallet address browser extension can be used to add NFTs.

The development team is already working on strengthening the NFT support on the MetaMask extension; nevertheless, as of today, MetaMask warns that the NFTs tab may not correctly display some NFTs in some cases.

Therefore, even though the MetaMask mobile app shows NFTs on your account, it is still conceivable that you will not be able to see the NFT since it will not show up correctly due to improvements that need to be made on the MetaMask wallet mobile app and extension.

NFT Does Not Appear in MetaMask: Reasons and Fixes

You are now aware that the NFTs tab on your MetaMask Wallet needs to show the NFT natively in the user interface for you to be able to use the mobile version of MetaMask.

If there is an issue with the transaction, however, the NFT tab might as well hide the NFT’s address as well as the NFT’s ID. Examine the following potential solutions to get rid of this problem as quickly as possible.

1. The Ownership of the NFT Contract Address

You must utilize a block explorer to see if your NFT appears there before you even begin to consider the transaction’s implications for the contract’s address.

Make sure that the NFT Address is correct on Etherscan.

Etherscan is a fairly well-known block explorer that you can use to check whether or not the NFT ownership information that has been provided is accurate.

This block explorer requires you to provide the NFT token ID to work properly.

If you have entered the address on Etherscan and it has confirmed that the NFT’s address is legitimate and belongs to you, then you may go to the next step in a fix.

2. You Are Using the MetaMask Extension

For NFT, we cannot stress enough the need to use the MetaMask wallet on your mobile device.

When it comes to non-fungible tokens (NFTs), it is not yet feasible to view them natively on the extension; therefore, if you wish to view an NFT, it is recommended that you utilize MetaMask mobile on your mobile device instead.

Utilize the Mobile Application of the MetaMask Wallet

Install the MetaMask wallet on your mobile device, preserve your private recovery phrase, and check the tab within the app specifically designated for NFT.

Is there a record of your NFT there? It really should. If it doesn’t work, try the solution below.

3. You are adding the NFT to the incorrect account in MetaMask.

Before allowing users to make NFT transactions, MetaMask requires users to confirm that they are utilizing the appropriate wallet address on MetaMask.

Remember that non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are worthless without ownership; consequently, if you use the incorrect wallet account, the NFT will not appear. It’s as simple as that.

4. Inconsistencies with NFT Unique Identifier

It’s possible that you entered the incorrect collection ID and address when using MetaMask.

If this is the issue you are having, continue in the manner described here.

Check that the information on your OpenSea and MetaMask accounts is correct.

It is important to remember that OpenSea is the primary data provider of NFT statistics for MetaMask.

You are responsible for ensuring that the distinctive identity of the asset you are trading on MetaMask is identical to the one shown on OpenSea.

In the same vein, all the information must correspond to what is displayed on OpenSea.

In that case, the NFT won’t be included in the list.

Is There Anything That the MetaMask Support Team Can Do About It?

No. Some are under the impression that sending in support tickets to MetaMask regarding missing NFTs will address this issue; nevertheless, this cannot be the case.

The support team will be able to give you the information that you require to resolve these issues (i.e., all of the solutions that we have presented to you), but they will not be able to recover NFTs in any way.

In any case, keep in mind that MetaMask’s NFT support is still in the experimental phase, which means much room for improvement.

Do not give up hope; if your NFT seems to be functioning normally on OpenSea, then it is only a matter of time until you can move it to the MetaMask platform.
